Sit a complete Speaking test the way it happens on test day: an examiner's voice asks the questions, you answer out loud, and your answers are recorded and marked against the four official criteria.
No card needed. Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking, marked with a band for each.
All three parts
Part 1 questions about you, a Part 2 cue card with one minute to prepare and up to two minutes to talk, and a Part 3 discussion.

Hear what to improve
A spoken tutor summary explains your strengths and the two or three things that will raise your band, with a Band 8-9 model answer for every question.
No microphone?
You can type your answers instead; they are marked on language only.
Questions
- How is the Speaking band worked out?
- Your recorded answers are transcribed word for word, then marked on the four IELTS Speaking criteria. The four criterion bands are averaged and rounded the IELTS way. It is a practice estimate, not an official result.
- Do I need a camera?
- No. The test only uses your microphone. You can turn on a camera self-view to practise eye contact; it is never recorded or uploaded.
- Is the Speaking test the same for Academic and General Training?
- Yes. In the real exam both streams take the same Speaking test, and so does BandLevel.
